Patient-Centered Philosophy and Compassionate Care

Cutting Edge Technology

The dental specialty known as "endodontics" requires extreme precision and attention to minute details. Dr. Simon utilizes a dental microscope throughout every endodontic procedure. He will often use a CBCT image from his J. Morita Veraviewepocs 3D R100. These two highly specialized tools amongst others allow Dr. Simon to see at the microscopic level, thus improving accuracy of each treatment.

STATE OF THE ART FACILITY

The practice was established in 2010 in Tallahassee. In 2016 the practice was moved to a larger facility. A complete renovation was completed in 2016 and the office was designed by Dr. Simon himself. The office was to be modern, clean and technologically advanced. It was equally important that it be an inviting, spacious, and functional space. Features that you will find at our office include: Zeiss and Global microscopes, a Morita CBCT, nitrous oxide in every treatment room, ergonomic ASI Endodontic carts, extra wide hallways, extra-large (12 ft X 12 ft) treatment rooms, floor to ceiling windows, and of course digital x-rays.

MEET THE DOCTOR

Tallahassee Endodontics was founded by Dr. Phillip Simon over 13 years ago. Since then, he has worked hard to provide excellent diagnostic and clinical care to Tallahassee, southern Georgia, and the surrounding communities. His passion for dentistry, people, and perfectionism is what makes him strive to be his best.

Dr. Phillip Simon is committed to providing you with the best endodontic treatment possible. With over 23 years of dental experience and having performed an estimated 15,000 root canals in Tallahassee alone, Tallahassee Endodontics is the most established endodontic practice in the area. From the moment you contact our office, you are our priority. Our staff will do all that they can to make sure your treatment is completed to the highest standards in a relaxing environment. Although we are separate from your general dentist, communication between our office and theirs will be seamless. All information is sent through an online web portal, which makes it easy to work together as a team.

Why go to an endodontist for a root canal?

Reason #1: Experience The average endodontist completes roughly 25 root canals per week whereas the general dentist typically does 2.

Reason #2: Efficiency Because we limit our practice solely to endodontic treatment, we are efficient and precise in what we do. Our office assesses each case that is referred to our office prior to your appointment being scheduled. This allows our staff to create an appointment that is specific for your individual endodontic needs. The result is less time that may be needed for an appointment as well as the time waiting in our office. Our patients are seen at their scheduled time. Your time is valuable, and we do respect your time. Overall, this equates to a positive experience. Our patients spend much less time in the chair as they would elsewhere.

Reason #3: Advanced Technology Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as dental microscopes, Cat-Scan imaging, intra-oral digital imaging, sonic and ultrasonic instrumentation, and fiber optics to treat patients quickly and comfortably.

What makes an endodontist different from a general dentist?

Endodontists become specialists by completing a 4-year doctorial dental program, followed by an additional 2 year post-doctorial endodontic program that includes advanced training to include the diagnosis and treatment of dental pain. Therefore, an endodontist is a dentist who specializes in saving teeth. Dr. Simon is able to perform routine, as well as very complex root canal procedures, including endodontic surgery and treatment of traumatic dental injuries.
